Individual Therapy
Making the decision to enter into therapy to work on yourself is a wonderful affirmation of “you”. No one can do your work for you. We all have to believe that we are worth the time and effort to examine our lives and provide ourselves with meaning. There is a purpose for our time here on this planet. Do you know what your purpose is?

Individual therapy can help explore our purpose in life; what is it we want to do with our lives and how do we make that happen. It can help remove roadblocks that get in our way through messages like “We don’t deserve what we want”, “We don’t have the right to ask for what we want” and that “We simply aren’t good enough.” Messages like these are crippling. They block any attempt we make at trying to improve our lives. By investing time in you and making the effort to explore your life, old tapes that control how you live your life can be erased and re-recorded with more positive, supportive, self-nurturing messages that free you to strive for what you want with a sense of competence and a feeling that you deserve it.

As you can probably tell, the work I do in therapy supports the creation of healthy, strong, supportive relationships. This perspective is still applied when working with an individual. I work to help my clients create stronger bonds with the people in their lives, help them make better choices regarding their wants and needs within relationships and help them process through past hurts created by people who mattered to them the most. By surrounding ourselves with loving, supportive people, we create the optimum environment for self-esteem, self-worth and mental health. It’s never too early and never to late to start improving your life. And, like I said before, no one can do it for you but you. Taking care of yourself and paying attention to your life is the greatest gift you can give yourself.
